Subluxation Intelligence and Objective Principles of Energy Healing planetc1.com-news@1:54 pm PST I thought I'd share some articles from the past on topics such as subluxation, healing, energy, retracing, innate intelligence, objectivism and faith in chiropractic. Following is an assortment of articles organized in no particular fashion, authored by chiropractors and chiropractic assistants (and maybe even a chiropractic student or two), during the past decade or so
Chiropractic Research Center Awarded $2.6 Million NIH Grant planetc1.com-news@1:31 pm PST The Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research (PCCR) was notified today that it has received an award to establish a four-year, multidisciplinary Developmental Center for Clinical and Translational Science in Chiropractic from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Barcelona Chiropractic School Project Receives Over 1M in Donations planetc1.com-news@8:38 am PST This is Lynn, Marc Hudson's wife. Together Marc and I produce the ChiroEurope seminar series. Last weekend we finished the 6th annual Chiropractic Spring Extravaganza in Mallorca, Spain. And if you were there you know that once again it was a huge success. Speakers and participants all went home with a new and deeper commitment to chiropractic.
Chiropractors like Pigs Being Led to Slaughter planetc1.com-news@2:10 pm PST By this point in time I think it would be safe to assume that every chiropractic office in America has been contacted at least once by a company or individual offering to list their business online in some sort of directory, for a small monthly or yearly fee. This isn't something unique to the chiropractic industry as dentists, plastic surgeons, orthopedic doctors, acupuncturists, and multiple other small-business industries, have likely been the target of those selling online directory listing services. I don't follow the online activities of those other industries so I can't offer comment, but I follow chiropractic related activity very closely.
Seminar Pipeline for May and June planetc1.com-news@1:25 pm PST Not all readers of Planet Chiropractic need information about upcoming seminars and events specific to chiropractors practicing in the industry, but we post this information for those seeking to keep up-to-date on what potential seminars are in the pipeline. I attend an enormous amount of conferences and events, many not related to chiropractic, and those (such as Barcamp San Diego) occasionally get covered on the blog pages.
Time to Join California CCA planetc1.com-news@7:15 am PST If you were one of the over 1,000 people at CalJam on April 26th I was there with you. What a day and night that was! CalJam was absolutely one of the most inspiring events I have been privileged to experience. And, if you were in the auditorium when Dr. Bill DeMoss opened the program, you heard our host strongly advocate that everyone with a DC after his/her name unite by joining and supporting the California Chiropractic Association.
Use Common Sense When Buying and Selling Online planetc1.com-news@1:55 pm PST Whether you're seeking to purchase a used Macbook Pro from an online auction website or seeking to sell a Lloyd chiropractic adjusting table on Planet Chiropractics classified ad system, it's advisable that you follow basic rules of common sense and keep a wary eye for deals that appear to be too good to be true.
Obama vs McCain and the Chiropractic Vote planetc1.com-news@4:27 pm PST After watching thousands of news headlines appearing across a number of online media aggregators, it's apparent that Hillary Clinton's presidential race is just about done. The New York Post ran front-page headlines reading "TOAST" and thousands of other newspapers painted a grim picture for the New York State senators bid to represent the Democratic Party in the 2008 presidential election.
Mom Blogs and Chiropractic planetc1.com-news@11:54 pm PST There are a number of Planet Chiropractic articles authored by moms. Topics range from leadership and office management to providing chiropractic care for more comfortable pregnancies and safer births. There is also an abundant amount of blogs in the blogosphere, with topics for moms authored by moms. I put together a brief list of mom related articles and authors found on Planet Chiropractic and discovered a spectacular resource for nearly every mom centered blog in existence.
Weekend of Recognition For Chiropractors planetc1.com-news@12:11 am PST Miscellaneous shouts and chiropractic mentions from the week past, May 2008.
Chiropractic Artwork Atlas and 1895 Flags planetc1.com-news@9:23 pm PST Pieces of art featuring images of human bones along with wings and obscure dates are not something you typically find in someone's home or art gallery. The artwork I'm talking about is of a chiropractic nature, and there was lots of it featured throughout the halls of a recent chiropractic conference held in Orange County, California.
Everybody has a Website planetc1.com-news@8:32 pm PST Nearly everybody has a website, but what does one do to get people to come visit their website and share that site with others? That was a question I was asked this past Saturday while speaking at a tech gathering in La Jolla California. I don't have all the answers, but after 10 years of managing a popular chiropractic website, and hosting web sites for hundreds of others, I've picked up few bits of useful information. If you're asking yourself "what would a chiropractor know about getting traffic to one's website?" you'll be missing out on what I'm trying to get across. This isn't about chiropractic, it's about the Internet, and some of the things nearly all web sites have in common.

Developing a
Chiropractors Adjusting Space
I'd recommend for anyone developing any sort of service based business location to visit businesses in your geographical area that are outside of your professional niche. For example, visit your local Starbucks. Bring along a notepad and take some notes paying particular attention to the things that would cross over to your industry such as parking, ease of access from the front door to the point of payment, entrances and exits, efficient use of space, etc.

Chiropractic
Los Angeles: What It's Like
What it's like to be a chiropractor in Los Angeles
Chiropractic is
practiced throughout the United States. Every city, town and community
offers a unique chiropractors story. Being a chiropractor in Los Angeles is
no exception as many stories could be told about being a DC in LA. With
Los Angeles being a major metropolitan area, we may sometimes experience a
different sense of community than someone practicing in a small-town
community setting. This article focuses primarily on the Los Angeles beach
communities of Venice, Marina del Rey, and Santa Monica and the local
practice of chiropractor, Michael Dorausch.

Chiropractor Salary Assessments
Assessing the Salary of a Chiropractor
The purpose of this article is to hopefully answer some of the questions people have asked me over the years regarding the earning potential that a doctor of chiropractic has. WARNING: This article is a work in progress, it has many unfinished parts. As I gather more information I will include it. If after reading through the article you feel there is a particular issue that should have been discussed, feel free to email me and I'll consider getting into it with greater detail.

Advice about Chiropractic Schools
Source Data: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
Job prospects should be good; employment is expected to increase faster
than average as consumer demand for alternative health care grows.
Chiropractors
must be licensed, requiring 2 to 4 years of undergraduate education, the
completion of a 4-year chiropractic college course, and passing scores on
national and State examinations.

Principled
Chiropractors Correct Subluxation
As principled Chiropractors, you’ve participated in many debates and
discussions regarding semantics within our profession. The most common is
the difference between using the words “adjustment” and “manipulation.”
Knowing that manipulate means “to control or influence cleverly, unfairly,
or unscrupulously” certainly steers us away from using the word to describe
anything about our beloved craft.

Chiropractic and Pregnancy
Care for pregnant moms
As I write this today, two of our beautiful practice members are awaiting
the arrival of new additions to their families. Adjusting women through
pregnancy is one of the most rewarding parts of our work, because a
healthier pregnancy means an easier labour and delivery, and a better
transition for the baby into this life.
