Integrated EMR Practice Management Touchscreen System

By Michael Dorausch, DC Chiropractic software, I haven’t discussed billing or practice management suites in some time. Still no news on any practice management software running on Linux (unless using VMware). Wow, back in November of 2007 I had a practice management software post with questions about products on the chiropractic market at that time. Also briefly in November of 2007 there was a software and attorney mail post regarding the same topic, management and billing software for the chiropractic office, and my interest in getting software running on operating systems like Ubuntu. Many chiropractors I’ve spoken to have switched […]

Software and Attorney Mail

by Michael Dorausch, DC A chiropractor in Little Ferry New Jersey sent me a brochure regarding some chiropractic management software. I’ve posted a few times that have been seeking out software that’s going to work for the types of chiropractic offices I’m familiar with. This particular software was made by a company called Eclipse and the screenshots in the brochure made the package look like it was designed for Windows 95. Practice Management Software

by Michael Dorausch, DC I received another fax today regarding some chiropractic software for managing the office. I think I saw a similar fax the other day and I was amazed how expensive some of these software packages are priced. This was chiropractic software for a paperless office and it was being advertised for around 250 bucks a month, for 60 months. That comes out to $15,000 and this is for the most basic package. A friend of mine, who works for Sun Microsystems, was taking a look at some of these chiropractic packages and basically said they were crippled […]

Free Open-Source Virus Software For Windows

by Michael Dorausch, DC Many chiropractic offices, and other small businesses, continue to rely on Windows operating systems (mostly XP), for their office and business computing needs. If you are running Windows, chances are you’re running some sort of virus protection and/or anti-spy software. I wanted to introduce you to a FREE open-source antivirus software known as ClamWin. ClamWin Free Antivirus is a non-profit free software project and the best part about the software is that it works, and it doesn’t hog a bunch of system resources while doing so. I began using ClamWin on a desktop that I run […]
