2010 Ford Mustang Red Candy GT Coupe

By Michael Dorausch, DC Here is another car related post, and although I am a chiropractor (and yes this is a chiropractic blog) I’ve been a car enthusiast since I was old enough to put Hot Wheels in my mouth. I’m sure they’ve changed the paint they used back in those days. Tuesday, planetchiropractic.com had news regarding the world premiere of the 2010 Ford Mustang at the LA Auto Show. There was great anticipation to see the latest version of this classic muscle car, and I was pretty excited to put my hands behind the wheel (in the Mustang garage

5 dangerous choices of chiropractor Halloween costumes

By Michael Dorausch, DC Depending on the chiropractor, chances are they’ll show up in the office this Halloween Friday in some sort of Halloween costume. I know that my staff will be dressing up, and I’ll probably be taking advantage of the Friday opportunity to dress casual, showing up as a surfer, or something else easy and comfortable to wear in the office. I’ve joked before about Halloween costumes that wouldn’t be a good idea for chiropractors to wear, and I thought I’d expand on that list with some photos. Leave now if you lack a sense of humor. Here’s

Tuesday night DCS with Chiropractor Patrick Gentempo

By Michael Dorausch, DC Chiropractor Patrick Gentempo Jr. came out to Orange County and spoke at the DCS clubhouse last night in Newport Beach. The event, which is typically held on a Wednesday night, was instead this time held on a Tuesday, and I believe it was well worth the trip for all that attended (not many drove further than me to be there). Dr. Patrick Gentempo, Jr. speaking to the DCS audience There were the traditional goodies available at the gathering, and thanks to traffic being light and my getting there early, I had some time to speak with

08 photos from Arizona

By Michael Dorausch, DC I was impressed with the number of photographs I took of chiropractors and their families this past weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. Saying it was hot would be an understatement. I mentioned last week that it would be hot and sticky but I wasn’t expecting 114 degrees Fahrenheit. Thank goodness for a really big swimming pool and great air conditioning inside the conference center. Even in August, hotels in Phoenix are one of my favorite places to attend conferences. The Arizona Biltmore makes the list of favorite conference hotels every year, and this year was no different.

Florida Quiroprácticos Jay Hartley & Ed Cordero

By Michael Dorausch, DC Two Florida Chiropractors, Dr. Jay Hartley of St. Augustine and Dr. Ed Cordero of Royal Palm Beach. Dr. Jay likely wants me to remind people about the 2009 Palmer Rugby Tour in Florida, February 2009. Dr. Fred Schofield will be the speaker and continuing education credits will be available. Details for the event are available here. That’s Dr. Jay on the left, he is a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. On the right is Dr. Ed Cordero. I’ve been on many chiropractic missions with Ed and he is one incredible chiropractor and individual.

7 Chiropractors Gathered for Photo

By Michael Dorausch, DC I have not had a chance to post much information regarding this past weekend’s trip through Santa Clarita, Canyon Country, Palmdale, and Lancaster. I did get this post up regarding strip malls, but that was all. It’s looking like a busy week and I am in Phoenix at the Arizona Biltmore this weekend. I expect nearly every one shown in the photo below will be there as well. These are some of my chiropractor friends, that’s me all the way on the bottom right wearing my San Diego barcamp T-shirt. Great T-Shirt to Wear at Your Chiropractors

By Michael Dorausch, DC A fine young gentleman (punk rocker kid) was in my office for a chiropractic adjustment and was wearing the T-shirt shown here. Live the Life That I Know Is Right for Me — Drug Free Thought that was a cool T-shirt and was fitting for a visit to one’s chiropractor. Remember, when we talk drugs on Planet Chiropractic, were not just referring to marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and other recreational medications, that have selectively been made illegal by various authorities. No, there are the prescription drugs, antibiotics, psychotropic medications, and all sorts of other pills and potions

Chiropractic Neck Adjustments in a Bus Terminal

By Michael Dorausch, DC Royal Palm Beach chiropractor, Dr. Edwin Cordero, e-mailed me this photo, earlier today. It features yours truly receiving an upper cervical chiropractic adjustment while sitting on a folding chair inside a bus terminal. The terminal is a major hub of the country of Panamá’s mass transit system. The bus terminal is a massive facility with thousands of people passing through each day. I had the opportunity to provide volunteer chiropractic services there on at least two different occasions. The photo above was taken in February of 2004, while the CREW was in Panama for the 10th

School Kid Saying No to Drugs

By Michael Dorausch, DC Saying no to drugs has been the mantra of many an anti-drug advocate. But most of those advocating saying no have not differentiated between medications like marijuana and drugs like Ritalin. There are drugs and then there are DRUGS. How are innocent children to know the difference? A group of chiropractic students were having that very discussion back in 1997 and a chiropractic classmate of mine later penciled the image shown here, which depicted a school kid wearing a “Just Say No” T-shirt while stoned on antipsychotic medications (such as Ritalin or Adderall). I was recovering
