by Michael Dorausch, DC I was checking in on Planet Chiropractic classifieds today and noticed we have reached 479 advertisements related to selling chiropractic practices. That puts us 21 advertisements away from 500 current ads in the space of office sales. The practice for sale category has always been a popular one but growth has increased significantly since we opened up the ad network back in June of 2007. With the holiday season upon us, I’m not so sure how many advertisements will be placed throughout the remainder of December. At the pace new advertisements are being placed in the
by Michael Dorausch Here is a quick post of a type of email to watch out for when placing chiropractic classified ads on the main website. While pages are getting thousands of views each week and there is lots of user activity, everyone is advised to be aware of fraudulent attempts to purchase products. No need for headaches. Ad Headline: Nervo-Scope Posted To: Chiropractic Classifieds am interested in immediate purchase of your item. After several consideration over the advert placed on the website my client has really shown interest in it and would really want to issue the payment in
by Michael Dorausch, DC I received a phone call the other day from James Von Hipple, a chiropractor I attended CCCLA with in the 1990s. He was in the process of driving to the city of Temecula in Southern California, from up in the Bellingham area of Washington. Dr. Jim had recently sold his chiropractic office and I remembered he had an advertisement on the classified ad system. Several chiropractors have asked me about buying and selling chiropractic offices, but I don’t have that much information, as I’ve never been involved in the experience personally. I sent an e-mail to
by Michael Dorausch, DC Received this via email today… I have an ad in the “Equipment for sale: Private Party; X-Ray Equipment” section for a Kodak M6 Film Processor. Someone using the name “[name removed since scammer is using name of a Chief Financial Officer of a publicly traded company]“ has attempted to defraud me through your website. I am notifying you so that you may take action and send a bulk email to your registrants, warning them about this particular scam. This con is known as the “Overpayment Scam.” The purchaser will send a certified cheque that appears to
by Michael Dorausch, DC It’s all in the details. When posting to chiropractic classifieds, some people write some terrific and descriptive advertisements. Others only post a few general sentences. Over the years I have noticed a significant difference in ad performance (measured by page views) when comparing detailed ads to plain Jane vanilla style ads. Let’s take a look at some practice for sale ads and see if we can include more detail… Chiropractic Office in Seaside California Interested in surfing or golfing on your lunch? Clinic for sale 1 mile to Monterey Beach and 10 min. to Pebble Beach
Regarding chiropractic classifieds, received an e-mail today from student at Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport Iowa… Thank you for your website, it is appreciated. (Palmer students are so polite) If you have time here is a suggestion. The associate ads are difficult to look through. It would be nice if they were broken up in groups of technique. If when they placed an ad you had them chose for example Gonstead, Grostic, NUCCA, Activator, Multidisciplinary, or mutli technique. That was a great suggestion so I logged into the classifieds administration area to check up on fields that are used when

We were waiting until July 4th of 2007 to release the latest news regarding the chiropractic profession’s number one ranked online classified ad service. If you haven’t been on the website lately you may notice something different, there are no fees for posting ads. That’s right, freedom from paying fees to post chiropractic related classified ads. Certain sections of Planet Chiropractic turned nine years old this past month and we wanted to do something to celebrate the event. While ads for things such as Associates, private equipment sales such as adjusting tables, and substitution services, were always free, we’ve now
Planet Chiropractic added really simple syndication (RSS) feeds to the chiropractic classifieds section of the website over the Memorial Day weekend. The RSS feed (you can activate it by clicking the image to the left – requires ability to view XML) indexes the 50 most recent advertisements posted to the classified section of the website resulting in an always fresh and up to date syndicated content page featuring the latest ads from the site. The feed includes listings for both free and paid ad categories such as chiropractic practices for sale, associates available, associates wanted, chiropractic tables for sale, income
About two weeks ago I posted to this blog regarding the sale of the used chiropractic flexion distraction table I had in my garage. You can view the blog here… Used Chiropractic Tables I learned a few things from making the post which I’ll be sharing here. I sold the table this past Sunday to a recent chiropractic graduate from Cleveland College in Los Angeles. That part is great news because it shows that chiropractors are searching online for used equipment and in this case there was equipment available in a close enough local proximity so that the young doctor
This past weekend I moved a chiropractor table into my garage in preparation of a room remodel going on at my house. I found myself thinking what would I do with a used chiropractic table and today I decided to post it for sale on the planet chiropractic classified ad pages. It’s a flexion distraction table and you can see the ad here but that’s not totally why I’m posting to this blog today. I’ve heard from quite a few doctors over the past seven or eight years telling me about the great results they’ve had selling chiropractic equipment on
