Grouse Grind Hike at Grouse Mountain Vancouver

A 2.9 km (1.8 miles) trail length with a 933 m (2800 feet) vertical rise makes Grouse Grind in Vancouver BC a perfect one hour (ish) cardio workout. When mentioning to a client, that I was traveling to Vancouver for Canada Day and some hiking, he said “you’ve gotta do the Grouse Grind hike at Grouse Mountain.” I’m glad I listened to him as it was the perfect start to my Vancouver hiking weekend. Hop on bus 236 to Grouse Mountain and join me… 236 Grouse Mountain Bus to Grouse Grind from downtown Vancouver was a good choice. I opted […]

Vancouver Canada Travels

By Michael Dorausch, DC Back in July of last year, I was in Vancouver for Canada Day, along with a few days of hiking and visiting chiropractors. One of the photos from the trip appeared in my 2010 iPhone review photos and a few appeared on my Michael Dorausch blog related to beer drinking (some great microbreweries in Vancouver). I found a bunch recently still on my phone. 4WD Mitsubishi Delica I’m posting this photo of a Mitsubishi Delica four-wheel drive vehicle since I think they’re really cool. I saw a few in the Vancouver area and I only recall […]

LA Marathon Photos 2011

By Michael Dorausch, DC Everybody loves a marathon (except maybe preachers and priests because people can’t get to Sunday church service) and the city of Los Angeles is a perfect place to run one. Road Closed LA Marathon The LA Marathon (as well as other city marathons) often results in massive road closures. It takes huge effort and coordination to organize an event like this. Congratulations to Marathon organizers and volunteers for their dedication to putting on this annual event. Honda LA Marathon 2011 Finish Line It was a huddled mass of medics, TV crews, media personnel, and marathon volunteers […]

9 Tattoo Designs on Women

By Michael Dorausch, DC Tattoo designs for women? What? On this blog? Hold on a minute, yes, and let me explain why. I was looking through some searches the other day and noticed lots of visitors were looking at the sacral spine tattoo in this post. Apparently, there’s quite an interest and I was kinda surprised I hadn’t posted more tattoo related photos, but guess I never got around to it. I had some time over the weekend, so I gathered up a selection. If tattoos on women turn you off, you way want to not bother scrolling down. For […]

Reno Nevada Three Nations Plaza

By Michael Dorausch, DC It’s only March, but since we were springing forward today for daylight savings time, I got reminded that summer is quickly on its way. Just got back from a conference I was at all week in Austin Texas and the week before I was researching parking rates in Las Vegas. There are two potential chiro conferences on my calendar for April and May, but I know that in June I’ll be going to Reno Nevada for sure. June 10th is the CCA Reno Annual Convention. Walmart Reno – So why a photo of Wal-Mart? This year’s […]

Content Indexing and Content Scraping

by Michael Dorausch, DC Two different screenshots to share here, mostly for my own interests (blog post rule fail: don’t post for you, post for your readers) but maybe there’s a slim chance you’ll find some value in what’s being shown. The first image shows a screenshot for research I was conducting related to seminar information in the Dallas Texas area. I was in Texas for several days this past week, and I must say that I love Texas BBQ. While in Texas, I was getting local search results related to the area I was staying in. If you take […]

Las Vegas Airport Parking Rates

By Michael Dorausch, DC Las Vegas Airport parking rates are better than those at LAX. $8 is better than what I typically pay. I was in Las Vegas again this past weekend (I’ll be back the week of the chiropractic orthopedists conference) continuing the research I’ve been doing, for an ongoing series of local search presentations. The presentations are intended for chiropractors and other local based small-business owners. I took lots of photos during this past Las Vegas trip. The sign above says that parking for Terminal 2 in Las Vegas is only $8 per day. As part of my […]

Del Rey Culver City and who knows what else

By Michael Dorausch, DC Is no secret I like taking photographs, and when I don’t have my semi professional hobby camera equipment, I’ll often times take photographs with my iPhone. I tend to be in my chiropractic office a lot (like many chiropractors are) and I’ve likely taken thousands of photographs of all sorts of different things throughout the practice. Everything from magazine cover labels to x-rays of my own wrists, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say I take about 10 new photographs each day. I’ve talked a ton about location, and I’ve mentioned at several chiropractic conferences (and […]
