Chiropractor 15683

By Michael Dorausch, DC Tips on finding local chiropractors that meet the qualities being sought by prospective patients. There were two notes on my desk with zip codes for chiropractors being sought in different parts the United States. One note read: Doris 92078 San Marcus and the other simply said Chiropractor 15683. It’s easy to think that it would be no problem finding a chiropractor in the 15683 postal code area. Performing a search for the postal code only, I see that it’s the area of Scottdale, Pennsylvania. Sometimes I’ll do a search for Scottdale chiropractors or Scottdale chiropractic to […]

Mark Nicholas mark_nicho95 Fraud Alert

By Michael Dorausch, DC Add another name to your list of Scammers and Fraudsters, Mark Nicholas of the UK is emailing people in hopes of separating them from their money. Thankfully, the very active (love the emails sent our way) chiropractic classified advertising community came through this morning with multiple reports on suspected fraud and scams talking place. This morning 2 arrived from a Mark Nicholas (mark_nicho95@yahoo.co.uk) in the UK. This email differs from ones we’ve seen previously but it still comes from the same region (see Daniel Monday Scam Alert). It’s a form email sent to those posting Equipment […]

26 Mile Plus Sunday Running Marathons

By Michael Dorausch, DC The 2009 Boston Marathon runs on Monday (420), April 20th, with some 25,000 plus people be taking to the streets, testing their will against Heartbreak Hill (mile 20ish), and racing to the finishline in historic Boston. It’s one of the few US marathons taking place on a Monday, instead of the traditional Sunday morning event. It’s not the only Marathon that runs on a Monday (in Boston the Marathon may as well be a holiday since schools and many places close for the day), the Los Angeles Marathon has decided to move their normal running date […]

Twitter Blog Mentions To Date

By Michael Dorausch, DC Now that Oprah and Ashton Kutcher are talking about Twitter, I guess more people are going to be increasingly getting in on the conversation. I wasn’t sure when I first started mentioning the microblogging service on Chiropractic Blogs so I did some searching through the archives. Looks like I first made mention of the service on November 4th of 2007, in a post about the 1 Second Film Project. I’d been using Twitter for a few months before that time, but I wasn’t too active in posting tweets. It was the BarCamp 4 Los Angeles event […]

25 Dollar Chiropractor Exams

By Michael Dorausch, DC I’m at the Las Vegas Airport and while doing some searches related to chiropractic I noticed a few chiropractor offices in the San Fransisco area advertising fees for service in ads campaigns. I found it interesting that not just one, but all three top ads were advertising rates. The offices are not that close to one another but it goes to show that entry level affordability is available for chiropractic services in areas considered to be costly for care. Berkeley, CA 94710 – The 1st advertisement I noticed was for an office in Berkley California and […]

Ad for Lifevantage and Protandim

By Michael Dorausch, DC Here’s a great example of how miscommuinication involving the chiropractic classified ads system keeps ads from getting posted. More than a dozen advertisements per day are posted on Planet Chiropractic classifieds. That’s 12+ ads per day, 7 days a week, for the past 3,285+ days. Due to spam, 419 scams, fraud, and other suspicious activity, someone moderates each and every advertisement posted. Most webmasters I’ve spoken to follow a similar process. You can only moderate submissions using algorithms and tools to a certain extent, and most sites (forums, blogs, classifieds) involve an individual manually checking before […]

April 17 is Chiropractic Hot and Heavy

By Michael Dorausch, DC The weekend of April 17 (through the 19th) is hot times for chiropractic events taking place nationwide. There’s 3 seminars I see taking place in Las Vegas and Atlanta that weekend, and they all look like great events to attend. First up is the 2009 Upper Cervical Evolution taking place at the Green Valley Ranch Casino. That event takes place April 17-19 and it features some of the top UC Chiropractors from across the globe. I came across an archived Chrane Condyle Lift Technique post earlier today, wonder if that is still being taught at Upper […]

Marketing Chiropractic Practice For Sale Tips

By Michael Dorausch, DC I came across a great advertisement listing of a Practice For Sale in Asheville NC yesterday. As I read through the ad (I’ll show it here) I was reminded about good use of granular terms but I caught a few addition things that could have been done. We’ll go over some of those tips after you look at the ad body. The ad was posted to the classifieds and it wasn’t the typical, short on information, practice for sale ad. You can see the ad here although it may not appear if content is deleted after […]

Pembroke Pines Local Reminder

By Michael Dorausch, DC I’m in Florida attending a continuing education conference. I don’t know much about the South Florida area and I’ve found myself doing quite a bit of searching while sitting inside the conference center. I published a post showing localized ppc chiropractic advertising for Florida and I’ve continued to check local content for surrounding areas. I came across the above local Circuit City photo while browsing Flickr. I talk endlessly about locations and local search, and there’s a reason for it. It’s important to pay attention to search in one’s local area. Check results regularly and improve […]
