By Michael Dorausch, D.C. I had three different chiropractors call me (actually they called my staff and I haven’t called them back) during the past week regarding ordering plastic spine keychains ( <–see the ones we use for ADIO chiropractic here) for chiropractic offices. There were some chiropractors that had called me the week before that as well, so I figure they must be looking for these custom-made keychains online, and not finding the information for ordering. I believe there are several companies making the custom molded plastic keychains but I did find the information for the company that I […]

Chiropractic Yellow Pages December 2004

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. I was throwing away some old files today when I came across some printing proofs I received from a yellow pages marketing company back in 2004. The advertisement was to appear in the alternative medicine and health practitioner category of the LA Westside Yellow Pages book. I believe the sales rep sent me four different advertisements, none of which I used. If I find a copy of the ad we did run, I’ll post a link here. Here is a scan of the advertisement that was prepared… NO DRUGS, NO SURGERY, JUST RESULTS! Dr. Michael Dorausch […]

Spizerinctum: Anything that puts happiness in the head, determination in the heart, energy in the hand and invisible courage in the will. — BJ Palmer, DC, PhC. The photo comes from the Pennsylvania office of  Dr. Tina Sigafoose. Very large BJ Palmer painting and quote on wall in front reception area. Get the idea, all else follows.

Chiropractors of the 1990s

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. While working for I’ve taken thousands of photographs of chiropractors across the planet. Some chiropractors are old, some chiropractors are young, some chiropractors are yet to be (as they were students when we took their photographs). In preserving the history of chiropractic and those we’ve crossed paths with, I’m sharing some photos, and hoping to get some feedback on the whereabouts of some of these DCs that have been digitized here. Do you recognize any of these five doctors of chiropractic? They are all graduates from the Cleveland Chiropractic school in Los Angeles, California. I […]

2009 Chiropractic Sports Sciences Symposium

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. The 4-day 2009 Chiropractic Sports Sciences Symposium in San Diego looks like quite an event for Medical Chiropractic Doctors. Taking place in La Jolla San Diego at the Hyatt Regency Hotel ( I love the Hyatt Regency La Jolla), this 4 day seminar series is for advanced sports science chiropractors covering the latest in athletic and performance based chiropractic medicine. This is a megaevent, with continuing education credits, CCSP and DACBSP development workshops and exams, chiropractic publication workshops, breakout sessions on manipulation techniques, sessions on sports rehabilitation, and even a tour of the Olympic training Center […]

Personal Injury Seminars 2009

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a seminar focused simply on personal injury but I am seeing more frequent postcards related to colossus software and insurance claims for car accidents and stuff like narrative report writing for chiropractors. Of the many postcards on my desk (still a very popular way for those marketing to chiropractors) was this one for personal injury seminars taking place in 2009. Here’s some of the details. Looks like all of these locations are for the state of California. 2009 personal injury seminars are being taught near LAX, North Orange County, […]

Chiropractic Success Strategies for 2009

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. Every year it seems as though there’s more chiropractic seminars appearing on the calendars. Something I’m noticing in the past two years as an increase in seminars that are not only marketed towards chiropractors, but are open to acupuncturists, orthopedic surgeons, physical medicine practitioners, massage therapists, naturapaths, yoga instructors, fitness instructors, personal injury attorneys, and other industries. Maybe that’s been the case all along, but I’m thinking more seminar groups are branching out in order to better fill the rooms with groups of mixed health-care professionals (rather than provide education for a single industry). One of […]

Impulse Chiropractic Adjusting Technique

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. Another instrument based chiropractic technique adjusting seminar series. I believe the company is called neuromechanical innovations and they are based out of Chandler, Arizona. Postcard arrived at the office with information regarding about a dozen different chiropractic seminars taking place in cities like Phoenix, Charlotte, Boston, Toronto, Seattle, Los Angeles, Denver, and Chicago. It’s always best to call for information on registration but it looks like registration fees for doctors of chiropractic are $279 if paid for in advance and $329 if paid at the door. From the flyer… Instrument Adjusting Adds a New Dimension to […]
