By Michael Dorausch, D.C. Depending on the chiropractor, chances are they’ll show up in the office this Halloween Friday in some sort of Halloween costume. I know that my staff will be dressing up, and I’ll probably be taking advantage of the Friday opportunity to dress casual, showing up as a surfer, or something else easy and comfortable to wear in the office. I’ve joked before about Halloween costumes that wouldn’t be a good idea for chiropractors to wear, and I thought I’d expand on that list with some photos. Leave now if you lack a sense of humor. Here’s […]

I’m Voting on California State Propositions

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. I don’t know about the rest of the nation, but there’s been a lot of discussion going on in the state of California related to a number of propositions coming up during this year’s election day. I put together a brief list below of how I am voting for each of the 12 propositions related to the state of California. If you have any reasonable information related to any of these propositions that you feel I should know about, feel free to share them. Proposition 1A. Safe, Reliable High-Speed Passenger Train — voting no — Pretty […]

Maildesk weekend inbox recycling

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. I believe the last time I covered postcards and the other mail coming to my California chiropractic office was earlier this month. There’s another stack on the desk and I’m posting information here before sending everything to the recycle bin. (photo: iPhone loving chiropractor Russell Kun and Butler Pennsylvania Chiropractor Ram Parikh. Picture was taken during attendance at a educational conference) Stuff in the mail: I received a postcard from the International Chiropractors Association of California (notice that’s chiropractors and not chiropractic) in regards to a seminar taking place in Los Angeles on November 15. Hotel […]

Money and Jobs and People Buying Stuff

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. Taking a look at 14,653 different key phrases that accumulated since the beginning of this month, it’s interesting to see how many of the top 10 are related to chiropractors making money, employment in the chiropractic industry, buying or selling chiropractic items, and getting some chiropractic education. There is also 2 related to the upcoming presidential election, in one search for a sexy girl that seems to appear month after month. So in checking key phrases for the month of October, it’s clear that chiropractic is at the top of the list. To the best of […]

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. Sometimes the most seemingly obvious stuff gets missed by those with the best of intentions. Like millions of other blog owners, I delete comments and mark comments as spam, nearly every day. There’s the obvious stuff like posts for online poker, male enhancement pills, a wide array of pharmaceuticals, and all sorts of stuff in the adult category. In my case (and many others) the majority of that type of comment spam gets caught by Akismet, a WordPress spam detecting plug-in. I don’t know about others but I don’t even check my spam folders, everything gets […]

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. Chiropractor Patrick Gentempo Jr. came out to Orange County and spoke at the DCS clubhouse last night in Newport Beach. The event, which is typically held on a Wednesday night, was instead this time held on a Tuesday, and I believe it was well worth the trip for all that attended (not many drove further than me to be there). Dr. Patrick Gentempo, Jr. speaking to the DCS audience There were the traditional goodies available at the gathering, and thanks to traffic being light and my getting there early, I had some time to speak with […]

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. I was going through a stack of papers from some chiropractic seminars I had been attending and was about to throw them out when I found a few handwritten chiropractic testimonials written by fellow DCs. Before I recycle the paper they are authored on I figured I’d post them here since they are really good. If someone had written testimonials like this about my chiropractic office I’d love to be seeing them online. The first one comes from Dr. Laurie Mestdagh and it is written about Pleasanton chiropractor Dr. Michael Gabrielson. Listen, don’t gamble with your […]

  • Comments Off on Chiropractors Saying Nice Things about Their Colleagues

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. It’s been a productive weekend that the planet chiropractic office. We’ve been working on some upgrades to the classified ads system, in order to provide better service to those using the website for selling and buying chiropractic equipment. Thanks to recent activities such as yesterday’s visit from Mr. Benson in Nigeria, and previous visits from Smith Matt, Tom Marley, and Mike Rapp (three or four are suspected to be the same individual), we’ve added some new features that kick in when someone replies to someone else’s posted classified advertisement. Take a look at the screenshot below. […]

Just a quick post to alert others regarding activity of a “Mr Benson Raymond” from Nigeria. Daria posted that other day regarding seperating you from your money and it looks as though this character fits the profile well. Here is the email being sent to people posting classified ads on various websites… ======= Hello, I am Mr Benson raymond, I work in  with  a small retailing company.I actually saw the  advert you placed and I will like to know the last offer you want to let it out and gather more info about it and the major reason why you […]

New Mp3 Plugin for Chiropractic Audio Talks

By Michael Dorausch, D.C. I’d been putting off an upgrade for weeks because the plug-in that was installed for our current chiropractic audio posts made to the blog, were using a plug-in that was no longer supported on the upgraded blog platform. We converted over to the new audio plug-in today and I thought I would put together a list of some MP3 chiropractic audio recordings so you can have them all in one place. I’m also adding two previously unreleased audio presentations from this past September’s New Beginnings conference in New Jersey. The speakers featured in the audio files […]
