by Michael Dorausch, DC A few weeks ago someone contacted me to let me know that a chiropractic adjusting video, which was filmed during a lunch break in my LA office, was featured on the homepage of a social networking business website. Take a look at the screenshot below and then we’ll talk about it. What you see above is a screenshot I took on the homepage of a Seattle-based social networking web site. The image links directly to the video, which is hosted at Google video, if you are interested in watching it. Basically what happened is that this
by Michael Dorausch I’ve been meaning to post a photograph one of my chiropractic assistants took when phone books arrived at my ADIO Chiropractic office (in LA) earlier this year. Being in a major metro area like Los Angeles results in a bunch of phone book companies competing for local business. There are four different major phone books that arrive at our office over about a three-month period. Each company is hoping you’ll toss away the others books and keep theirs. The truth is we throw away all phone books that show up at our business (and my home) and
Take a look around this web page. If the top of this page does not say Chiropractic Blogs… Thanks everyone that participated in this. You are all fabulous!
by Michael Dorausch, DC I thought I wrote about this before but I can’t seem to currently find the post. A bunch of chiropractors were gathered around my ubuntu running laptop a few days ago and someone asked me the question I’ve been asked some thousand plus times before. Who should I hire to build my website? My first response is always “don’t hire me” because I’m far too busy doing other things (like making posts about cheeseburgers). For those of you non chiropractors that have ended up here seeking local webdesigner advice this will likely be helpful to you
by Michael Dorausch, DC I was about to do a post about going local when having a website built for a chiropractic office when I located this cheeseburger photograph in my Picassa2 browser. That’s no ordinary cheeseburger. I forget how big the hamburger patty was but it looks a half pound or more to me. There’s plenty of yellow American cheese, plenty of ketchup, and even a white bread sesame seed bun. All ingredients were purchased at the local Costco and cooked up on a nice and hot George Foreman grill (love those grills). You can see some LCD monitors
Received this e-mail earlier today… HI ~ this is [name removed] who wants to attend chiropractic school. I am going to community college in San Jose. I’ve heard that Cleveland chiropractic school educates requirements classes. I believe I can save time with that program for attending chiropractic school. I appreciate if you send me information about that. Also, I am a international student. When does school begin class? How much is tuition? On the school review pages, you can get contact information for Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles. If what you’re asking is can you take prerequisite science classes
by Michael Dorausch, DC All kinds of service industry businesses have companies that provide generic postcard templates covering a variety of topics. For example, in the profession of chiropractic, there are a number of companies that offer generic postcards with pictures of spines, pictures of hands, licensed cartoon characters endorsing chiropractic, motivational messages, and such. Many of these same companies also provide similar postcards to the industries of massage, dentistry, physical therapy, orthopedics, and others. Often times the images on the postcards are the same, and only the name of the profession is changed. A cartoon drawing of Bugs Bunny
by Michael Dorausch, DC Like many people involved in SEO, Matt Cutts is a hard-working individual. Matt works for Google and he is currently the head of the company’s website spam team. I suspect it’s not easy being the #2 Matt in the world (Matt Mullenweg of WordPress is #1) but that’s not likely the cause for Matts recently tweaked back. I had the opportunity to meet Matt just a few weeks ago while attending WordCamp in San Francisco. I wrote an article about the posture of some of the camps attendees (395 reasons for chiropractic care) as it’s been
by Sharon Gorman, Chiropractor Last Saturday afternoon Armand Rossi did a two hour training session for Chiropractors in my office between my Open House for the patients and our Philosophy Night at the Hotel. The entire day was awesome. At the end of his talk he asked us if we had any questions and I tried to think of a good question to have him continue thinking. I like the way he thinks. Some people are Chiropractors and some Chiropractors are Chiropractic through and through and Armand is one of those, so I love to hear how he thinks things
